Ok people.Today's the release but i want to first have a little poll. here's the situation, I'me eager to release but I know there's something bugging me and it's holding me back from releasing. It's just not quite right! I would be happy to release it now, but I know it's not perfect.It's the CRUISE! I've got landing and takeoff/taxi all hooked it, it's just that during the cruise you must NOT here the engines or else they get on your nervers because 1) it's annoying to here a constant scream in background! and 2) you don't here them in real life during the cruise phase. However, you need to here thm on takeoff and landing so what I did is tried making the wind sound during the cruise just loud enough so that it covers the engines. However, the wind sound has become too loud and you get to the point where you have to turn your speakers down. Then coming into landing, everythings quiet and you have to turn them up. I want to elimnate this problem! However, I'm leaving the decision making to you. Do you want a release now or a bit delayed? Have it now, and you get to play with it, though having to adjust speakers all the time! Have it later, and I promise a fantastic sound file with all sliders in the middle for FS2002 settings and no speaker messing about! 6 on one, half a dozen on the other.What's it gona be?Cheers[br][/img][/font][/b]

Keep up your word and release, please. We can then "play" and adjust, as you explain

Ben,simple solution - release the package and get feedback from a wide range of users about whether or not to release an updated cruise sound file or not, once everyone has had a chance to use it and see what they think.

OBK:Just a quick question. Why do I hear the sounds a lot louder, when on the ground, on the left side? Is this just to simulate me sitting closer to the left engine?

Thanks everyone for the comments, it was a bit of a rush to get released but I'm glad I have now! Like I keep saying it's an ongoing project and I will continue to make it better! You'll see I'm sure within a month it will be better and so on...I'm a very meticulous chap! (sp?).Like prattman said, there's something wrong with the panning. I did put a parameter in the sound file to tell flight sim to stop doing this but...flightsim will be flightsim and it ignores my command.If I can just ask prattman exactly which sound do you recognise coming louder from the left side, is it the packs sound like I thought?It doesn't sound too bad in my room because I have the surround setup and I have a program that governs panning (I think :)). Let me know what the sound is that has a panning differential and I'll sort it.Thanks again for the comments, I'm flattered and it's certainly a moral booster :+Cheers[br][/img][/font][/b]
