July 20, 200322 yr "Can you see why my util bus lights were showing "OFF" in my shot?"We often get this when we advance the throttles for ground tests. It's part of the electrical load shedding system. If you only have single source of electrical power on the main busses and the aircraft as defined as being in the air, the Utility Busses trip OFF.Air mode can be defined in two ways....1. The wheels are off the ground2. Both thrust levers advanced 9.5 degrees from idle!Did you follow the correct preflight procedures? (i.e. check your throttles were at idle before engine start) ;-)Hope this helps.Cheers.Ian.
July 20, 200322 yr "You have an air driven hydraulic pump on."That's what I first thought, too, Wade, but....There should have been enough pressure in the Centre System to automatically stop the ADP running (It's a demand pump ;-))... unless I've overlooked something?Apart from system pressure, the ADP will also start running due to "anticipation circuits" if....Speedbrake lever is not in down position and the aircraft is on the ground.Flap/Slat Electronic Unit (FSEU) sees flap operation.Proximity Switch Electronic Unit (PSEU) sees slat and landing gear operationCenter Hydraulic System AC Motor Pumps switches selected OFF on overhead panel.Hydraulic Motor Generator (not sure if this is fitted to PIC) is selected on as function of left and right ac bus loss in the air...etc....Cheers.Ian.
July 20, 200322 yr Preston,Off your topic, but your panel looks very good visually. Can you tell me what resolution you're using, please? I've never seen the fuel readouts looking so bright and clear(see the other post on readouts on the overhead panel). Thanks,Frank
July 20, 200322 yr Commercial Member Hi Ian. It's nice to see you here. How's life treating you?WRT the problem at hand, it could be a logic bug but Laurent would have to answer the question, that's his area.Wade
July 20, 200322 yr I go by memory, then double check with the checklist incase I forgot something. The throttles were indeed idle :)Oh well.
July 21, 200322 yr Hi all,I had that problem a few times.Until I found out that this is (maybe) a FS < > B767PIC problem. What I have tried is:1. Start the FS with the default startsituation (mine is meigs, cessna 172, all off). Then switch to any 767PIC aircraft >>> The problem appears just like your screenshot shows.2. Start the FS with the default startsituation. Load THEN any of the standard PIC-SITUATIONS (which come with the CD) with engines all off. Then go the airport and switch to the specific 767PIC (or merge) you want >>> Problem is gone. Everything works. So my conglusion is, if you use any default (or other) aircraft previously (brought her down to a totaly cold and dark cockpit) some settings in the flightfile prevents the 767PIC from bringing the packs (APU) to 'full' power.Hope this helps.Regards, Roger
July 21, 200322 yr "Hi Ian. It's nice to see you here. How's life treating you?"Unfortunately, with boxing gloves filled with bricks at the moment, Wade.... *:-* However, I never fail to tune into the forum every day to get away from it all ;-)I notice that the board has been a little slow recently. For a while, I thought you might have some serious competition from a certain other sim programming team.... That impression didn't last long however :-lolWas that an airplane I saw amidst the bugs... or was I mistaken?PIC is still number one... Something to be very proud of ;-) Cheers.Ian.
