I just had my family down in DC for vacation (visiting parents on Eastern Shore), and while downtown I got to watch a number of 737s and Airbuses flying the River Visual into KDCA. It's pretty cool to watch them make the turn to final so low and slow in landing configuration.(I got up twice in 172s out of KESN. Too bad the DC ADIZ is so large. It was impossible to do the sightseeing along the Chesapeake near Annapolis that I wished I could do.)Lee Hetherington (KBED)

Too bad DCA is closed to GA. I used to go in there all the time. It was fun.

During a mid-July visit to Washington, a few aproaches "river-dancing" over the Potomac, as seen from the "Mall". When I got closer to the airport, they changed the approach and kept it from the south for the rest of the holiday :-(Took one of an obviously heavily loaded departure from Rwy 01, that could have used a few more feet of runway....See them in http://f2.pg.photos.yahoo.com/milush2000Look at the DCA folder. Enjoy!Roberto
