August 27, 200322 yr Hehe - sometimes people tell me I am green...I thought it was a compliment...hmmm... (cough...cough...sound of brain sputtering to life).
August 27, 200322 yr >"Don't make me angry, you wouldn't like me when I am angry">>I was quoting Dr. Bruce Banner - AK The Incredible HulkI'm just waiting for "The Dukes of Hazzard" to start. Isn't it still on right after The Hulk?
August 27, 200322 yr Just the good ol' boysNever meanin' no harm.....making their way, the only way they know how...CLASSIC!As a kid in UK, all I watched was Dukes and Beachombers. This is what I thought Canada would be like when I came over. It's not. What ever happened to Relic anyhow?
August 27, 200322 yr Commercial Member Relic, or Robert Clothier, passed away several years ago. He was a fine actor - I saw him on stage several times - the man knew how to chew scenery. As for Canada not being like the Beachcombers - ???? are you out of your freaking mind? Come to the west coast, my friend. Nick and Constable Constable and Jessie are living embodiments of British Columbia, as much as Rover's Return, Vera, and Coronation Street are the Midlands of England. Course, I've never been to England, but I KNOW that's how things really are - television would never steer me wrong. Rob and Ian Elchitz would, but not my trusty 28 incher.DS CVA3339 / UKD149System: Attlon 900 McW Hamster/Gerbilized Quantum Accessible 55Gig Iodized-Encrusted Four-poster with Mega-brill Farzenhuuven http://vatsim.pilotmedia.fi/statusindicato...tor=OD1&a=a.jpg The SUPPORT FORUM for Level-D Simulations products: http://www.leveldsim.com/forums
August 27, 200322 yr 'Corry' is surprisingly close to the reality of the high-drama that people enjoy in the UK.Relic is dead. Say it ain't so...seriously, he was my favourite Beachcomber. That show and Littlest Hobo was Canada's contribution to British TV in the late 70's/early 80's...was all I knew about Canada. Arriving in Toronto, 1982, in a February blizzard, on a BAW 747 is nothing like Beachcomber's said it would be. We had to wait in Ottawa for 2 hours before we go to Toronto due to weather. Remember it well....and here I am looking for Relic out the window...
