767 Dispatcher - current situation ?

Featured Replies

Hi Ilan,I was wondering if you have already sorted out the bugs in the newest version of the Dispatcher ? I believe that it complained about "duplicate opened files" or something, that ultimately prevented the operation of the excel, despite the renaming efforts etc etc.Eagerly waiting for an update to get the nice addition back "online" :)rgdsTero

Hi,I bought a new computer recently, so still workink on installing, tuning, defining and wondering why it doesn't work...Anyway - had very little time to work on that issue lately.I know Vulcan succeeded in making the Dispatcher work, after some reinstalling and removing some files. Maybe he can share the solution?I'll try and look into it this evening - it's not easy since I can't recreate the problem on my computer. Thanks for the interest, I promise to do my best.Ilan

Thanks for putting me on the spot Ilan :-lol, bet I can't remembr what I did now :-)Tero,I'm not at my FS PC at the moment so can't offer any real advice until I get home. However the problem I had was that the Dispatcher kept wanting to save changes to 'YYMM-YSSY' (or similar)which is obviously a file I created but I couldn't understand why Dispatcher kept wanting it. This also happened if I opened Excel and then clicked on any of the toolbar options that Dispatcher installs, such as the DEP page.If this sounds like your problem reply here and when I get home ( a couple of hours) I try to figure out what I had to do to cure it.I do know that it wasn't a simple question of uninstalling and then reinstalling Excel as the file association was held elsewhere.BTW My fix will probably only work for Win2k/XP.Rgds

Guys,This is weird.I got the dispatcher to work (at least so far so good) by renaming the file to Dispatcher 31.xls.When it was named "out of the package" it didn't work. It said "cannot find file Dispatcher 31.xls" when navigating the toolbar. Now, I just renamed the file and it worked!!Amazing, I thought I had tried that already. Maybe I had, maybe something had changed. Who knows. Now it works, and that's what matters :).Tero
