August 13, 200223 yr Several of my prop engine aircraft do not appear to have any startup smoke effects even though there is an effect file fx_engstrt.fx in the effects folder. What may be the cause of the problem and how do I fix it so that my classical airliners belch out some smoke????Thanks for your help!Airbus Al Kaupa Digital Storm purchased 8/17/2011; Win7x64: Asus P8P67 Deluxe; Intel i7 2600K@3,9 GHZ; nVidia GTX 560Ti; 8GB DDR3 1600 Corsair Dominator; Power Corsair HX 750W; Samsung 850 EVO 500GB SSD; 300GB WD VelociRaptor; 1TB Seagate.
August 14, 200223 yr It real life you normally do not see any smoke at start-up. So, I would leave it as it is.Regards,Onno
August 14, 200223 yr Author Which airliners are you talking about? Turboprops do not emit smoke; only piston airliners do.BTW, I have a modified engine start effects file that gives you a really smokey engine start - it's on my Cal Classic What's New section.Hope this helps,-- Tom GibsonCalifornia Classic Propliners: http://www.calclassic.com/Cal Classic Alco Page: http://www.calclassic.com/alco/Freeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.com/ San Diego Model RR Museum: http://www.sdmodelrailroadm.com/Drop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___ Tom Gibson CalClassic Propliner Page
