Improvements for the PIC v.2 developement

Featured Replies

Dear developers,I don't know precisely the new features of new version of the 767 (in addition to the compatibility with FS2004), so I have few question that think add more realism and completeness to the product. I hope that you leave the aspect of panel like now, add this improvements(if possible):Review for a more accurate Flight modelAdd fuel jettison panelAdd selcal panelAdd cabin altitude controlComplete the management for all lighting system.Add Window heat/equip cooling (only for completeness of upper panel)Maintain the TCAS addo/on (i dont know is better visible on the EHSI)Personally, I leave the other like now....and hope don't forget anything! What think??? So I'm ready for purchase!!!!By and sorry for my englishValerio

ValerioCould you elaborate a little on your desire for a "more accurate flight model"?

I notice that for example during a approach the aircraft seem rather unstable; this is my impression.... (maybe, as a new version in progress, is better looking inside the file .air for tuning some parameter). What do you think about the other improvments???BYValerio

The 767 is one of the most stable airfiles around during approach. You can quite easily hand fly the aircraft to CAT II ILS Minimums 100ft Decision Height / 300 Meters Visibility. The other suggestions are reasonable enough.

I believe this, but for example during a visual approach maintain the Vref 30 speed, with A/T on and AP ofh, I don't follow the right path to the runway!! I look make this perfectly in a real video (Intelligent video - Leisue Int. company - very good). Sometimes happen that the LOC is one o two dot aside from centerline on the outer marker. Obviously with airplane in landing configuration...Probably there is any my errors....Bye,Valerio

Mark,Have you tried our modified 757FDE ? Stability is increased in it esp. during the approach.Tero

Valerio,I'm not sure if it was deliberate by the designers, but even the real 767 autopilot has the tendency to overshoot LOC interception a bit from normal interception headings (30degrees off).Tero

Not Yet Tero.Shoot it my way and I'll give it a bash.I have been pretty busy of late - between work, setting up my new PC, and helping Haroon out by answering support questions on the Simavionics forum. To top it all, I am beta testing Gary Summon's new LHR scenery for FS2004 and will soon be testing the AS2004 MR1 update. I take it the 757 FDE is for a PW a/c.

Just wondering if this is a Navdata issue. I have seen this, where the Navdata has the Runway HDG as current Real World and FS has it as something else. This could cause you to be a couple of dot's off on the approach.

check your mail!Tero

Mark, then is really possible this instability of the 767!!!!But you and Tero are the developers??And what is the 757 FDE??ThanksCiao Valerio

Valerio,No, me and Mark are NOT PIC developers!PIC was developed by 4 guys Wade, Eric, Laurent and Pedro. Eric flies for living, and he's no longer with the group in PICv2 development.Me and a friend, Sebastian Hyv
