March 5, 200422 yr has anyone here been able to get the TCAS gauge (Lee's) to work in any FS9 panel? I have installed it correctly and am running FSUIPC latest registered version. However, I only get 'off' and 'test', it will not cycle to any other modes.I have verified AI traffic via trafficlook.ideas?? March 5, 200422 yr Mike, make sure you have the FS9 specific version 3 installed. This is the only one that works with FS9 at the moment.Confusingly version 2 is in beta testing at the moment. This should be FS8 & FS9 compatible, and will feature RA alerts with all the proper call outs.
March 5, 200422 yr Author I got it here at avsimfile name:ilh_tcas_ver3.zipproperties box version number:version 1.1.16quote from the readme:"Note: although 767PIC does not currently work in FS2004, this gaugedoes."should this be working?? CPU: Core i5-6600K 4 core (3.5GHz) - overclock to 4.3 | RAM: (1066 MHz) 16GB MOBO: ASUS Z170 Pro | GeForce GTX 1070 8GB | MONITOR: 2560 X 1440 2K
March 5, 200422 yr Yes, Mike, that should be working in FS9. I just downloaded it, verified it is version 1.1.16, installed it, removed my FSUIPC 3.x key, and the gauge worked fine. You're right clicking in the upper left corner to move to TA and RA modes, right? Is it displaying a yellow "TCAS" flag or "TCAS OFF" in white?Mark, unfortunately, the v3 in the AVSIM filename is not connected in any way with the v2.x undergoing testing now. Yes, that is confusing. Sorry. The new gauge is known to work in FS9 too.Lee Hetherington (KBED)
March 5, 200422 yr Author >Yes, Mike, that should be working in FS9. ok, thanks, got that settled - issue is at my end then.>removed my FSUIPC 3.x key, and the gauge worked fine. huh... bit scary, what do you mean by removed key?? I have registered FSUIPC and the TCAS range in the FSUIPC menu dialog is set to 40. FSUIPC is fully operational and works with other modules (i.e. FSMeteo) and FS9>clicking in the upper left corner to move to TA and RA modes,>right?correctIs it displaying a yellow "TCAS" flag or "TCAS OFF" in>white?TCAS OFF in whiteit will only display either TCAS OFF or TEST, regardless of number of left or right mouse clicks. I am attempting to place this into the PMDG 737 product. I gauge displays fine in the panel and the tcas test pattern shows the 4 test targets. All click spots seem accessable.BTW, thank you for your help in this guys. I will be happy to paste up portions of my panel file and directory listings, ect... March 5, 200422 yr Only other thing I can think of is to add "pic:off" (no quotes) to the gauge line in panel.cfg. Perhaps it is trying to read some PIC status and getting confused.Let me get this straight: you can click left to get to TEST mode, and then right to get back to XPDR (blank mode but TCAS OFF), but if you *keep* clicking right you don't get anywhere? There are two blank modes (XPDR and STBY) before you get to TA and then RA.I'm confused because if FSUIPC connection wasn't working, it would be displaying a yellow TCAS flag.(The stuff about removing my key was for me to make sure the key built into my gauge was working properly, and it was.)Are you trying to use my transponder too?Lee Hetherington (KBED)

March 5, 200422 yr I somehow got the TCAS working by using your Panel.CFG?It seems to work,I mean I get RA and TA modes, aswell as the test function. Having said that,I still need to see if it works!I really want to add the transponder to the Radio stack(probably bottom R.H.S cos there's a nice little space there). If anyone can get the co-ordinates for it,I'd be very grateful...ThanksJohn (Once known as Macs)http://homepage.eircom.net/~eamonnmca/images/logo_ba.JPGwww.bavirtual.co.uk Senior Captain Simflight.com Staff Reviewer
March 5, 200422 yr Author BINGO!!I added the transponder gauge and now I get the whole shibang working, thanks guys I apprecite your help.BTW, I can post up my panel.cfg parameters for this gauge on the radio ped when I get home from work, I have located it nicely I think.thanks again all. March 5, 200422 yr I have one little question.I get all the simbols but no aural alerts such as DESCENT, DESCENT or Cleared a conflict and etc. I want to use the gauge in RFP742Ramon
March 5, 200422 yr That's because this feature has not been implemented YETLee is completing his newest(and best) version now which will feature all callouts ;)John (Once known as Macs)http://homepage.eircom.net/~eamonnmca/images/logo_ba.JPGwww.bavirtual.co.uk Senior Captain Simflight.com Staff Reviewer
