EADI & EHSI dark but engines running

Featured Replies

After a long time flying the 767 with all systems running when the aircraft is loaded, I went back to the cold and dark option.I choose the 'first delivery' flight, and go through the checklists. I would have no problem going from cold to engines running. The Eicas screens are on, so is the FMC.For some strange reason, both the EADI and EHSI remain dark. Also the IRS unit.I have all the electrical systems switched on. APU is closed after engine start. Main battery is on, all bus ties, etc.Why the dark screens?Eytan OrnsteinP4 2.4 ghzGeForce 2 MX 200 64MB30 GB hd512 DDRWindows 2000 professionalFS2002

Daryl,I tried what you suggested.1. Started fs with the default Cessna at Meigs.2. Changed a/c to the B767.3. Shut down engines, all systems, making sure every switch is off. I then saved the flight as a cold and dark situation.4. I went through the checklists and started the engines. Even though everything was switched on, the IRS and navigation displays were still dark. A few minutes later they came alive.I'm wondering- is it something to do with the IRS alignment process? the manual says it takes two minutes to align.I always thought that as soon as you turn on the electric system, the EADI should come on.Eytan
