I've got a chance to fly the real 767-400 level D in the coming months and was wandering what percentage of realism there is in the current PIC767-300 series? I think I've read posts from real 67 pilots that it was somewhere around 90% but just wanted to get a little more info on the subject. I really wish that the PIC Ver 2 would magically appear on my screen within the next month.. (wishful thinking I know).. so I can really get some serious practice sessions before the real thing..Regards,Jack

The CURRENT PIC and the 767-400 don't have a lot in common. The 764 cockpit is closer to a 777. While the original PIC took a lot of "liberties", mainly due to restrictions imposed by MSFS, I WAS able to find my way around the cockpit in a 767 simulator, thanks to the time I'd put in using PIC.PICv2 may not be out within the next month, but I think that when it DOES come out, you'll find it to be a lot closer to a Level D than anything else you can find out there. :)

Bob,Thanks for your inputs and I really do hope that V2 will be close to a level D and maybe some welcome news toward the end of this year as to it's progress.Regards,Jack

Hi, I have to argue about the commonalitties between the 767-300 and the 767-400 I have flown also the 767-400 Level D flight simulator for at least 4 hours in 2 different sessions, and I have to say the only thing that the 767-400 looks the same as the 777 is on the screens on the MIP that replace the EFIS system and the traditional 2 screen EICAS on the 767-300... But the 767-400 and the 767-300 have the same exact overhead, Actually I didn

I was referring only to the main panel layout. The MCP is a different story. The "old" PIC overhead panel is lacking a few items. :)

Hi Bob,PICv2 may not be out within the next month, but I think that when it DOES come out,.....Well, I hope we will not run into the same situation as it was when PIC V1 was released in Febuary 2001, as there were only a couple months left to the next FS version......___________________________Best Regards,Bodo M
