SIDs, STARs and IAPs. Oh My!

Featured Replies

I have just uploaded the beta version of SIDs, STARs and IAPs for the 767 PIC version 1, to the avsim file library. Please make a backup of your current files in case the beta does not work for you. Install instructions are in the 'read this first' file. Please read so you know where to unzip the file. There are two files, 767PIC_Other_0411_Beta and 767PIC_KP_0411_Beta. The first file is for airport ICAOs that start with something other than a 'K' or a 'P'. These are generally airports that are not in the U.S.. The second file is for airports whose ICAO starts with a 'K' or a 'P'. These are U.S. airports only. Even though the individual procedure files are small there are about 27,000 files and it created a large 10 meg zipped file so I decided to break it up into the two smaller files. These terminal procedures were derived from DAFIF data and are current. Unfortunately the DAFIF does NOT include all terminal procedures that are produced for the civilian community. So, you will find that some airports are not available and that some procedures are missing. Please remember that this is a beta run. The email address to report problems or just to let me know all is well is in the 'Read this first' file. If all goes well I will start distributing these terminal procedures from my web site (http://home.sw.rr.com/filesherenow/index.html) on the normal 28 day AIRAC cycle.EnjoyRegardsTerry

Terry,Many thanks for this. While I don't any longer have v1 of the 767, I will be buying the version 2 scant seconds after its release. Do you plan on making v2 compatiable?

I would like to but have not been able to contact any of the developers about that prospect.RegardsTerry

TerryThis is a great idea however, the LDS767 is a complete re-write. I hope your data is set up the same way as the new FMC sids and stars are. It would be a shame to do all that work based on the pic767 old write, but then again, it may be the same format.

Hi Terry,Firstly, I would just like to express my thanks for your work. It sounds great.Secondly, not being too familiar with the DAFIF database, could you confirm that the major international airports in the US such as KMCO, KORD, KJFK etc are complete?Thank you in advance.Regards,Lee.

Howdy Lee>Firstly, I would just like to express my thanks for your work.Thank you.>could you confirm that the major international airports in the>US such as KMCO, KORD, KJFK etc are complete? Those airports are in the database but I can not confirm if all terminal procedures are there as I don't have a list of what should be available. There is also the problem about some conditional waypoint not being used. This could eliminate some procedures too.RegardsTerry

Hi Terry,No problem at all. I will download the files later on and check them against the available charts to confirm things.Thank you for your prompt reply.Regards,Lee.
