December 24, 200421 yr Commercial Member Right now I haven't done EPR based engines because AKAIK nobody has figured out how to do EPR adequately to be able to produce real world EPR values for an engine over a wide range in FS. I want to be able to reproduce the actual engine values before I'll do an EPR based engine. I am going to have to do that for the 757 though, so an update for the '67 would be a definite possibility when the 757 is released. Before anyone asks I'm not saying anything more about the '57 right now.Regards,Wade
December 25, 200421 yr OMG!!!!!It is going to be the LDS 757 versus PSS's 757.Clash of the developers ;-)I can't waitCheers ;-)Denis Allen
December 25, 200421 yr Commercial Member Why would PSS be ticked?:)Daryl Shuttleworth DS3339http://members.shaw.ca/shuttleworth/sig01.JPG The SUPPORT FORUM for Level-D Simulations products: http://www.leveldsim.com/forums
December 25, 200421 yr I would not think that PSS would be mad....I would bet that the PSS version is released for FS2004, while the LDS will probably be a FS10/2006/???? Product. Heck, I have 2 payware ATR's, 2 payware 727's, might as well have a couple of well done Boeing's 757/767 also.Merry Christmas Everyone!Steve Park
December 25, 200421 yr Daryl said "Why would PSS be ticked?"Because there also releasing an 757-200/300, the PSS model is already up on their website under "Coming Soon"
December 25, 200421 yr Holy shizzle! Has this been mentioned before? My fav airliner done by my fav developers! Who cares if PSS is ticked? lol If anyone can overcome any EPR issues, it'll be Wade and co.
December 25, 200421 yr Guys, the LDS 757 wont be released soon and well after the PSS 757. No point waiting or talking about it yet...let the 767 release first :)Alex
December 26, 200421 yr Great news indeed, which prompts another question .. while awaiting for this release, does anyone know if the 757 airfile made by Tero for PIC V1 would be compatible with the new LDS version ? Thanks and have a nice day...
December 26, 200421 yr It seems that only the 767-300 and/or 300ER GE models are going to be released...now for the Big Question: Any plans for the Pratt & Whitney or Roll Royce models being released at a later time!
December 26, 200421 yr Author Commercial Member The problem is when you have an FMC/VNAV system that has to apply correct thrust over a wide range of conditions then you need to be able to model the EPR/N1 relationship very well to be able to get correct performance.FS doesn't model EPR at all so you will always be using the FS N1 values to monitor and control thrust via the flight model's 150x tables, and displaying an EPR value that is determined based on N1 and other parameters.Wade
