Computer System

Featured Replies

Hello. Since LevelD Sim is getting ready to come out and I am still using FS2002 I need some advice on how much of a new computer system I will need to get to run FS2004 with level D Sim and everything basically maxed out. I also like to use FS Traffic from time to time too. I normally don't add much other scenery though. What will I need to have everything run smoothly so it can be enjoyed? If it wasn't for the Level D I think I would stick with FS2002. PIC 767 is basically all I fly. Any advice on this would be appreciated. Thanks for your time.Aaron.

Recommend 1GB of RAM and something around 3.0Ghz processor and a 128MB graphics card.

Hey Aaron, If my 2.8Ghz, 512mb RAM can run the PMDG 737NG with VC without a problem I fully expect it to run this, especially without scenery add ons....Best RegardsBoone,[email protected]"Flying a plane is no different from riding a bicycle. It's just a lot harder to put baseball cards in the spokes."

Thanks Boone and Eric for your responses. Aaron.

Lots of ram (1g), fast cpu (>3ghz), good quality MB (Asus, MSI) and a mid to high level graphics card (i.e ATI X800) and you should be happy. Take a look at a site like www.firingsquad.com to get up to speed on whats hot and what not.If you dont fancy putting one together yourself, buy from a quality brand (cant go wrong with Alienware). Avoid HP, Compaq et all!!!
