January 11, 200521 yr I don't know if this has been addressed or not however, when you select say 1 major failure per month.. If you were to save your flight after every flight, will the random failure generator start again at 0 when you reload flight simulator?? Or will you have to keep flight simulator open for a full month?I am just curious, cause I like to do lots of flights (most of the time) and I would love to have a minor or major failure crop up maybe once a week or so..Thanks
January 11, 200521 yr that doesn't matter. It's not a timer function but a probability function :So let say you select "1 failure per hour" : That means that for EACH minute you fly, there is 1 chance/60 to get a failure. You select "1 failure per day" : that means that for each minute you fly, there is 1 chance/1440 (60*24) to get a failure. The result is thus that you will get ON THE AVERAGE 1 failure if you fly continuously for 24 hours. It's really a probability, so the words "ON THE AVERAGE" is important.Regards,
January 12, 200521 yr Author Thank you Laurent, I have been eager for this product since Bill Van Caulart brought it with him to Charityflight 2004 and let us fly it..Thanks for your answer..

January 13, 200521 yr Will the failures have an effect on perfomance if they are not addressed. For example, lets say you get a cargo fire and a few other failures. How much time do you have to put out a cargo fire versus an engine fire. what if you did not put out the cargo fire. Could the fire spread or destroy the plane? I am not expecting full graphics but a message saying aircraft destroyed.
January 13, 200521 yr Hi Erich,I suspect you'll be the first to know if your aircraft is destroyed, 'cause I doubt there'll be anything left to display a message on!:-)Frank
January 14, 200521 yr >Will the failures have an effect on perfomance if they are not addressed. If both engines fail... you will find that you can't climb (at least not without losing airspeed). :-)Cheers,Ian.P.S. I make a bad beta tester... My instinct for self preservation kicks in and I try to not to ignore the warnings.
