If you have an external air cart you can start the left engine without the left isolation valve being opened - the air cart is directly connected to the left pneumatic duct and therefor pressurizes the duct directly. To start the right engine you'd have to open the right isol valve. (Unless you just blow a lot of air into the engine - let's say around 300 knots worth of wind speed...)Regards,Mark
