At BFI (KBFI) they mostly make pre-delivery test flight.I gona try to make some records aswell from BFI. I gona try to fly on a nonstop flight from KBFI to EDDS with the B737-800W NG.It's a delivery flight and Air Berlin did this in real and they made it, it was a world record!! :)

All wide body aircraft are assembly in Everette Field, narrow body well the 737 since the 757 are no more, are assembly at the plant in forgot the name of it but its inSEA not BFI...Joe..

maybe they did what they did for hawaiin 717 they sometimes strip the indside of the aircraft and put fuel tanks in it. i have seen it done so that might be what they did for air berlin so keep that in mind.Best Regards Adib Afraj

Yeah, I read somewhere on a aircraft related news-site that an official from SAS said that they made a delivery flight from Seattle to Scandinavia direct... Thought he had gotten something wrong, but apparently not then! These planes were equipped with extra fuel tanks or? Another fun thing I've read about Boeing 737, that the price the airline pays for them is based on the maximum takeoff weight. (Although it's the same aircraft!) So for example, the 737-600:s that are used on the longer european routes are certified for a higher takeoff-weight and are a bit more expensive than the -600:s SAS use for the Swedish routes... If you feel the need though, you can pay Boeing a bit extra to 'upgrade' the certified takeoff weight. That's a bit peculiar!rgrds fredrik

I don't think they are even delivered out of BFI. You see tons and tons of 737s and a few 777s on the ramp waiting for their new owners at BFI - but I can't recall ever seeing a lot of new 767s.
