August 17, 200223 yr I tried to load up a couple of my old FS2000 DC-9s from Project Freeware tonight but (despite the FS Edit treatment) they wouldn't load as the MODEL wasn't accepted by FS2002 ... 3rd party, not compatible, etc. Two quick questions:1. Are Project Freeware no more? Can't find them.2. If so, has anyone produced a fix for these aircraft? They're lovely planes, and it would be sad to lose them. I have more modern releases but one or two of theirs are very special.Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumonthttp://www.swiremariners.com/cxkaitak.htmlhttp://www.swiremariners.com/reds.htmlhttp://www.swiremariners.com/cxkaitakv3.jpg _________________________ Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumont VP Fleet, DC-3 Airways Team Member, MAAM-SIM
August 17, 200223 yr Moderator Mark,I just got a new system and haven't installed my favorite PFG planes yet. Maybe you wanna try their forum, here's the link:http://www.flymeridian.com/cgi-bin/pfgforum/dcboard.cgiJust in case you can't find their new homepage:http://www.projectfreeware.com/Hope this helps,Petehttp://home.neo.rr.com/zaehringer/pipersignature.jpgAthlonXP2000,512MB,WinXP,DirectX8.1,Geforce3TI200(128MB)(Det.29.42),SBlive(4.06.703) I9-13900K, RTX 4090, DR5-6000MHZ, CORSAIR ICUE H150I ELITE, ASUS PRIME Z790-P, THERMALTAKE TOUGHPOWER GF3 1350W, WIN 11
August 17, 200223 yr Duhhhh ... when all else fails, engage brain, right ....?!But I have to say I didn't know they were back in action, so didn't think of the obvious route. Wow. I live this hobby far too many hours a day but can miss something so important. Ah well, thanks, Pete. The bottom line, after combing the forum, is that I have to use 'MDL Repair' on some of their FS2000 planes to get them to work in FS2002. Bill Klemm has also posted a LIGHTS fix there so we're in business, I hope. I gather there may be full upgrades in due course.Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumonthttp://www.swiremariners.com/cxkaitak.htmlhttp://www.swiremariners.com/reds.htmlhttp://www.swiremariners.com/cxkaitakv3.jpg _________________________ Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumont VP Fleet, DC-3 Airways Team Member, MAAM-SIM
August 17, 200223 yr Author So, you found MDL Repair? That works. The DC-9s do work in FS2002, and we have a kit similar to the 737 update, that will remove the original lights, and add the FS2002 type. That should be out soon. Also, paint kits are now available for the DC-9s and 737s. :)"Bill" Klemm :-lol BobK
August 17, 200223 yr Dear William Klemm (may I call you Bob?)Yes, it works a treat, Bob, thanks. I'm still reeling from the fact that I didn't know you were alive again. I LOVE my DC-9s. Winged your Austrian lady on my favourite little test run Salzburg/Innsbruck last night with Marco Diaz' Paul Golding panel conversion and had a wonderful flight. Terrific, and I look forward to everything PF produces. Well done.Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumonthttp://www.swiremariners.com/cxkaitak.htmlhttp://www.swiremariners.com/reds.htmlhttp://www.swiremariners.com/cxkaitakv3.jpg _________________________ Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumont VP Fleet, DC-3 Airways Team Member, MAAM-SIM
August 17, 200223 yr Author Thanks Mark. Keep an eye on the Avsim library. The user repaints are starting to show up too, and they look great! :) BobK
