AUTOATIS in Pro Controller - how??!!

I know you can use the AUTOATIS function to get the current ATIS identifer (GOLF, HOTEL, etc..) and info. What is the correct way to do this??I was told at one point that simply typing "autoatis send kphx" for example will do it, however that message simply gets sent out over the channel to all the aircraft!I'd really appreciate it if someone could explain it for me. Also, how would you get autoatis if you were flying instead of controlling?Thanks!RyanVATSIM-KPHX

On a related note, I haven't been able to get autoatis to work from within SB for quite a while. I tune in the frequency and type "autoatis" (or anything), and I never get a response. Isn't that supposed to work? It didn't work today or yesterday at KATL, using 119.65.Lee Hetherington (KBOS)[link:www.sls.lcs.mit.edu/ilh/fs/DFMS734.zip]B734 Dreamfleet/Microsoft Merge

I know this an old thread Lee, but in case you have not solved it, here goes :-)I found another thread here that explained that for ATIS at a particular station you need to type '.ATIS KATL_V_CTR' if wanting ATIS from Atlanta control, note the full stop (period) before the word ATIS, that might be all you're doing wrong. Now to carry on searching for answer to *my* problem :-)Hope hospital went OK for you.
