August 25, 200223 yr I have a PC with 2 soundcards, a headset and mic being connected to each. Pilot A wears the first headset, Pilot B wears the second.I need to have the ability to be able to transmit/receive on 2 channels at the same time, independently of each other. Person A needs to be tuned to channel A, person B needs to be tuned to channel B.However, it seems RW will only allow one instance of itself to run at a time.I know you can configure RW to tell it which playback and recording device to use, so it seems to me if 2 RWs can be run, I configure one to use soundcard A and the other to use soundcard B, with 2 different mic trigger keys.I know there are channel changing programs around, however this isn't really what I need. The ability to receive on 2 channels at the same moment is what is required - is this at all possible? If there is not a way using RW, what other voice comms program could be used to accomplish the above? Is it useable on the VATSIM network with other people using RW?Many thanks for any help...Chris
September 3, 200223 yr HiI've tried to get RW to run as two intances on a W98SE system with no luck. I would guess a 2PC solution is the only possible thing here! Mats JohanssonPMDG Flight Test Dept | Asus Z270-A | Intel i5-7600K @ 4.8 GHz OC/H2O | nVidia Geforce GTX 1070 8GB OC/O2|
September 6, 200223 yr Using 2 PCs is the only way I know of to accomplish this. And as far as I know, other voice chat apps will not interoperate with RW.Peter http://bfu.avsim.net/sigpics/PeterR.gifBFU Forums Moderator

http://bfu.avsim.net/sigpics/logo75.gifBush Flying Unlimited"At home in the wild"Looking for adventure? September 12, 200223 yr But this is only for controllers isn't it? What about pilots? Would be nice if you COULD have 2 different sound cards with headsets, where the captain and first officer could communicate with each other through the headsets as well as contact different ATC stations (which I presume is how it works in the real aircraft.Sunil Mulay
September 16, 200223 yr I have RW running on two computers. On the second computer I run RW with SB so I can talk to ATC. On the FS computer I have RW running so I can talk to my friends or listen to other ATC channels. If your running your computers through a cable router, all you have to do is forward port 3784 for one of your RW programs. By default RW uses ports 3782-3783 to send and recieve infoformation. On the second running RW porgram, run the RW setup wizard and change the port info to 3784. Then forward port 3784 for that computer on your router. Thats it. The only thing is, you have to disable DHCP on the router and assign your computers manual IP address. Other wise, if you boot your computers in different order, the port forwarding may be backwards because which ever comp you turn on first will take that IP address first and the port forwarding will be backwards.
