ONLINE FLYING AND Ultimate Traffic ???

Featured Replies

Hi there.Cheers for taking the time to read :)I enjoy flying online and have no prblems what so ever connecting and so forth.However...I have just downloaded Ultimate Traffic and it runs really well. But if I connect to the vatsim network all my ULTIMAT TRAFFIC goes. Im wondering if anyone else has this problem but I think the fact is you might not be able to have Ultimate Traffic running and still fly using sb. The reason I ask is because as we all know the online flying is great and the ATC verbal communication is a close to relaity if you ask me. But the visual representation in FS2004,FS2002 isnt good. Planes just dont fly smoothly or anything like that due to I suppose the servers. So with this I thought I could have Ultimate traffic running with nice looking smooth ATC aircraft taxing and flying around and then simply fly with ATC verbally online ???Can this be done. Surely someone has come across this cause surely im not the only one who would want this out there. Get back to me with any infomation as Im quite curious as to what the current situation is with it Juan Garcia-Mendez :)

You cannot use AI traffic while on Vatsim. When you connect to multiplayer in Flightsim the AI aircraft dissapear. Now their is a trick to get AI traffic while on Vatsim....simply don't connect through multiplay. Search on this forum on exactly how to do this step by step.Mark.

Hi Juan,Well works as designed!.Its a feature of MS flightsimulator that as soon as you enable a multiplayer session all ATC and AI is turned off. To my knowledge there is no way to turn this feature off. Besides if flying online with for examle VATSIM it would not be very approriate to be cleared for landing when one of you're AI planes is just in front of you landing....

Nice to have a VATSIM Blokey aboard,In realtion to your statement. well Ive just loaded up SB without connecting to the FS2002 Multiplayer session and from what I see everything is fine AI traffic still busy taxing about and flying. Obviosuly FSRELAY was running at the beginning. To get around the aircraft on the rwy when your cleared to land well all you do is turn the auto open ATC screen off and turn your ATC sound setting to fully down. This way you can simply contact eg Heathrow TWR for your clearance and from what I see everyone on the ground IE the AI traffic will await your arrival until you land. In the eman time you siply chat to who ever is online VATSIM CONTROLLER wise. Im glad ive sorted this out now. Maybe there arent to many people out there who might what things to work and look like this but as I said before " theres nothing worse than aircraft on the vatsim network jumping left right and centre and wondering on and off taxi ways. This way I see everyones happy . --------------- THE END :)Juan(Glasgow)
