September 21, 200421 yr Hi,Anybody knows where to get the winds aloft data consistent with Vatsim weather please? This would definately enhance the preflight planning. Thanks in advanceDom
September 22, 200421 yr VATSIM does not provide winds aloft neither does SquawkBox weather engine.Payware weather addons do and you have en'route winds planning in both of them that I have used. You enter the MSFS GPS flightplan, cruise altitude etc. and they produce you the current winds aloft at each waypoint of your route.http://www.hifisim.com/http://www.fsmeteo.com/I prefer the first one but the second is equally good in what you are asking about.Kyprianos Biris :-cool Hellenic vACC - Olympic Aegean Virtual Prepar3D 5.3 | CPU i9 10900K | VGA: RTX 3070 | RAM: 32GB DDR4 | Monitor: 3440x1440
September 23, 200421 yr Author Thank you very much Kyprianos,I am using AS2004 and knew about this feature, though you have to create a seperate flight plan in the FS9 then export it to get it.Thanks anywayDom
September 24, 200421 yr For that, I'd recommend using FSBuild 2. It lets you build for all sorts of formats (including default FS9 and PMDG).Works very with with AS2004 and that's precisely how I do it on the VERY rare occasions I get to think about flying these days.
