Hi all. I know this is a stupid question, so I did a search before posting it so that I wouldn;t bother anyone uselessly with it; but I did not find an answer. So here goes: Is there a key combinaiton that allows me to hide the SB display that opens up inside FS9 when we start it up form inside the Simulator? Thanks for the help.Victorhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/800driver.jpg

SB3? Double click the bar at the top. If your talking about that thing that shows when radios are transmitting, I forgot which key shortcut it is. I usually just drag it out of the way. But the Text bar you just double click the Top bar. Also try this: When it's minimised to just the bar, right click it to access the menus.

>Please help people! its annoying to fly with that window in>the middle of my glareshield! How annoying can a sigle row height of minimized window be ?Perhaps you have it open all of the time in full size.Check the documentation in HELP section for display options. Are you refering perhaps to the SB3 Transponder ?This you can also hide although its not recommended if you don't have an advanced panel that has its own SB3 compatible transponder.Kyprianos Biris :-cool[link:hvacc.org]Hellenic vACChttp://vateur.org/staff/vateur_m.jpghttp://online.vatsimindicators.net/810309/3.png

Any extra item on the screen is very annoying to me. Using one of the copilot applications that allows to people to fly in the same plane across two computers, there is a very tiny dot that you probably wouldn't see unless you looked for it. The dot is as small as the author could make the multiplayer simulation disappear (which puts makes both planes appear as one). That dot that's not part of the scenery is annoying to me. But it's a necessary evil that the author currently can not make disappear. The single line task bar at the bottom of the screen is very annoying. I'm glad I can auto-hide it. I hope more authors will consider that adding their little line to show their program is running can quickly clutter the screen and never follow the suit of putting something you can't hide in view. I'm sure, since there isn't an alternative, people are getting used to the bar. I think it would be nice if it the option to hide it were available, rather than having to get used to it. -- L. The option to hide the SB3 main window completely is already on the list for a future version of SB3. As Kyprianos explained, the SB3 transponder can be hidden, and the operation in regards to standby/mode C can be conducted from the squawkbox 3 main menu also (for which you would have to un-hide the SB3 main window, although :D). Thanks for the reply guys. Transponder is not a problem to me because the aircraft I use to fly online are "synchronized" with SB3 in a such a manner that whenever I enter the xponder code and switch to C it automatically uploads to SB3. I do know how to minimize SB3 inside the sim. What I'm complaining about is that single blue header line that still displays even when minimized. I wish there was a hotkey which could be associated with SB3 so that we could hide it entirely and not need to keep dragging it in and out of the sceen all the time. Hope that a patch will come ou soon enough. But if it doesn't I'm ok as well. It's annoying but it's not killing me.Regards,Victorhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/800driver.jpg

Get a program called FSINN from here http://www.mcdu.com/ It does the same job as SB3. It has nice, small interfaces that can be closed completely. The only problem is that FSINN ver 1.0 doesn't play well with FS2crew for the PMDG737NG (which I see you have). So if you have fs2crew as well, you might have to give FSINN a miss.Other than that it's great.Darren

Another solution is to run SB3 by double-clicking on its executable rather than running it as a module from the FS menu bar. Then you can minimize the SB3 window to the taskbar or put it behind the FS window.
