Simple joystick interfacing

I'm looking at a way of connecting up a Suncom Talon and throttle combination to a home pit via USB.Was/am looking at the Plasma2 board from Beta Innovations which would be more than capable and it's relatively cheap but also thinking of an even simpler home made solution.The set would need to be recognised as two device even on the Plasma2 board but I could go the home made wayI just got a Playstation gamepad to USB connector and have two Playstation gamepads connected to it for non flight sim activity ;).Anyhow, under gameing devices these show up as two devices, each with four axis and sixteen buttons. Give it a try and see if you like it. Some converters can be jittery or have low resolution.
