Good news for licensed users of Level-D

Featured Replies

Hi,If you're a licenced user of the Level-D, go and visit their Product Support Forum for very interesting news:http://www.leveldsim.com/forums/forum_post...p?TID=9822&PN=1Please note that curent version of FSCONV (4.9) is not fully compatible with the new SDK in Level-D SP3. I'm working very hard upgrading FSCONV to version 5.0.There's so much new in the SP3 SDK, almost every switch in the panel can be controlled digitally, and the number of lights/annunciators is probably more then your hardware interface cards can handle. SP3 will give us years and years work, building and exptending our home flightdecks! Will let you know ofcourse when FSCONV 5.0 is ready for (free) download. Nicowww.nicokaan.nl1704.png

How are you going with FSCONV for the Level-D? Have you implemented stuff like the EXEC light on the FMC yet?

That's only the top of the cake!EVERYTHING that the new SDK for SP3 provides is available. And the SDK indeed provides everything!Take a look at the LevelD cockpit. Each switch, light, lever, announciator will be available for hardware control.Need I say more?George DorkofikisAthens, Hellashttp://online.vatsimindicators.net/811520/1704.png

Hi Nico,Good work (again)! :DA feature in your latest release includes: TFR switch of VHF radioDoes this mean that we can now have one permanently ACTIVE window and one STANDBY, and use the transfer switch to move the stanby to active?or are we still doing it the previous way, with an LED indicating the ACTIVE window? Thanks for your advice.RegardsChris G

Hi Chris,Functionality has not changed. The TFR switch interface in FSCONV is now 2 bits in stead of 1, providing us 100% reliable synchronisation at start up.To my knowledge the 767 does not have a fixed STANDBY window...?!At least not according to the Boeing Operations Manual I have. There are two windows and a led above such a window indicates the active frequency. With the TFR switch you switch between frequencies. The only part in my implementation that deviates from the real thing is that I use only one dual rotarie, to save cost (in stead of two). FSCONV always intelligently changes the standby frequency. However I might release an alternative version with two dual rotaries if people want that. But even then you will have dynamic standby windows...Cheers,Nicowww.nicokaan.nl1704.png

Nico,Thanks. My bad.I have a bunch of dual rotaries from Rafael, all my iocards display cards stuff waiting to begin my pedestal. Thanks again for all your efforts.CheersChris

Hi Chris,I also have got dual rotaries from Raphael (6).Today I have put two of them in my COMM1 panel.May work on a dual rotarie version in FSCONV shortly...Cheers,Nicowww.nicokaan.nl1704.png
