RAAF Livery for the Lou Volland B707

Featured Replies

Hello happy simmers - Here is some quick snapshots of my first texture release for the Lou Volland B707 aircraft.I chose the RAAF livery as I served with the RAAF for 20 years and have some fond memories of many flights in these old girls.http://www.gjsmith.com/images/b727-RAAF-2.jpghttp://www.gjsmith.com/images/b727-RAAF-5.jpghttp://www.gjsmith.com/images/b727-RAAF-4.jpgShe is now available FREE for your flying pleasure at:http://www.gjsmith.com/textures/b707.htmHope you like her - lots of work on this one and I hope that she is a pleasure to fly for you all.Happy simmingGarry J. Superb livery Garry - thank you! What others do you plan on doing???Best Regards,Boone

Thank you for taking the time to comment on my texture - I appreciate that.I have a few requests for B707's in the mill but "what others" will depend on requests received from the simming community.Garry J. Thanks for answering Garry, I would really love to see a livery from some modern day western carrier - Freight or passenger. FYI - This model and Paul Golding's panel work beautifully together!Cheers, Boone

I will have a search of airliners.net and see what I can come up with.I have already installed Paul's great panel - excellent - there is, I believe, a 16mb sound set of files for her but I just can't affort the resources for the download on that one with a 56k modem.Garry J. Me neither!I'll keep an eye on your website for new liveries.Regards and thanksBoone

I have downloaded and installed the Lou Volland 707-320. It came with a Boeing demonstator livery and an AA livery.I notice that it also came with 2 cfg and air files. One set is the normal set and another is a FFG set -- which one is supposed to be used with this aircraft ? Anybody know? Thanks barry

I think you're supposed to use the FFG set if you plan on flying it, and the normal set if you use it as AI. Just a guess, though.Excellent work as usual, Garry! I have a request for you. Could you possibly, in your spare time, make a USAF low visibility paint scheme, like a KC-135?

In relation to CFG files - I have no idea - I just jumped in and flew her after installing normally and she is fine.Re the Kc-135 - I will have a look at one and see if she is worth a tinker (from my perspective being a reflective metal fan) - But then again not all of my textures are metallic - some interest me because of their style and livery.Garry J. Garry, You would'nt have done the Low Vis tactical grey scheme as now used on the RAAF tankers by any chance?P.S. I really liked your repaint of the CAC Mustang VH-AUB -> Superb!

I have not seen any images of the tactical grey scheme for the RAAF 707's if you have an image would love to do one.Just had a quick visit to your site - Nice job - and some nice scenery there - well done I am getting Sydney now - thanks.Garry J. WOW looks great Garry, pitty the RAAF is slowly phasing them out :(Do you have any plans to paint the grey low vis scheme the RAAF has more recently had on their 707's?EDIT: LOL just read the above post, I've got 2 photo's of the low vis scheme, they aren't that good but if you want them Kindest RegardsNathan PerryYeoDesigns TeamJetStar International VAhttp://www.yeodesigns.com/signatures/yeode...nner-nathan.jpg
