THE BEST VA

Featured Replies

I've tried several and for me the best by far is AirWestVA. Check it out at www.awva.net It is about as real as it gets.Robert Fisher

For something a little different than a virtual airline, I suggest perhaps, "SimNASA", a virtual space agency:There are many career choices to look to. You are obviously aware of the Virtual Astronaut Program. Others join our Aerospace Divison - soon we will have the X-Plane missions within our new Flight Testing Division. Others join our new National Weather Service Division dedicated to weather and atmospheric research and observation. We also have SimJPL, our unmanned space program which has explored the moon, and eventually the planets, as well. If none of that is for you, we have a Facilities and R&D Divisions which create and paint our SimNASA aircraft, rockets, and associated vehicles - as well as develop additional scenery packages or software. SimNASA uses "Microsoft Flight Simulator 2002" for many of the flights. We also use "Orbiter" a free space simulator. For ground control, we use the free software: "vMC", "vCC", and "RW" (Virtual Mission Control, Virtual Command Control, and Roger Wilco) for spacecraft tracking and communications. We are developing additional software for weather, data collection, and timing. I urge you to explore our website and see what appeals to you. If you have any additional questions, do not hesitate to ask. Kind Regards,Mike CarusoSimNASA Public Affairs OfficerNASA39 "Do YOU have the Right Stuff?" http://www.simnasa.org

I thought the question was "THE BEST VA" not come join my VA...THere is no best VA, those that claim to be the best are just as good as the next!Any large VA with a Forum entertains a mob mentality that targets people for not sharing the same view! Prime examples are the idiotic antics of a VA called Livewire that went on a campaign of sabotage and spamming against someone there CEO accuseed without proof of spamming infact there paranoid with there behaviour.Another is British Airways Virtual alledging over 1000 pilots and a wait list of dozens! Well if there so good how comes people still get in and there turnover must be in the range of 300 pilots per month? Also they dont like individual points of view. Then again no large VA with a forum does!A VA is only as good as you want it as long as you tow there line and dont say nothing and stay away from the forums.Best VA out has not been found yet.My recommendation is Air Source if you want to fly real schedules but a smaller fictional one for that imaginative touch that dont fly just heavy irons.
