Is this virtual cockpit for real?

This looks too good to be true. Are these gauges and switches active? This is a standard I would love to see in FS. I guess there are some that are of this vintage, what do you think?Noel

If you don't have RealAir's SF.260, get it! The virtual cockpit on that aircraft is amazing.James

Looks great Noel, where is it from ?George

>This is a standard I would love to see in FS.Absolutely. Regardless of how well a plane is reported to fly in FS, if its cockpit appears to be computer-generated it detracts too much from the experience for me.And it's not just the LOMAC cockpits that are approaching a full level of realism; they've also shown off some highly realistic ground cover that provides a great sense of speed when flying down low. And that terrain is a lot more convincing than anything I've seen so far in the CFS3 previews. (On the other hand I've seen virtually no clouds at all in the LOMAC visuals, while CFS3 is making strong advances in the skies.)Anyway, I think LOMAC's Russian developers will be providing some real motivation for MSFS team.

LOMAC is still pre-alpha, so we may not see clouds for awhile. I saw earlier pics where the team was testing various gfx effects, such as heat shimmer. LOMAC is expected to have a comprehensive weather system, so clouds will be there. How will they look? That's TBD.Still, LOMAC is on my must buy list. AS for FS improvements...--T

Maybe this real threat in competition will spark a revolution in flight sims as Unreal Tournament, Quake, and Half Life series did in the First Person Shooter categories... those games made some serious advancment with some competition nipping at their heels! Maybe not :)
