Alex, chances are you weren't actually sent the virus from AVSIM. Most of the new viruses now are smart enough to spoof the address. It could have come from anybody that has the [email protected] address in their address book or email program. That is what is so irritating about the new viruses. It used to be you could just send a reply email to the person telling them they have a virus on their computer, but now that is not necessarily the case.I can tell you that any email that really comes directly from the [email protected] address is being sent by the forum software through our server and the server does get scanned for viruses.
