Please pass this onto whoever is responsible for the running of the entire forum engine.It's a bit naff how this forum lets the replying to any message move that message thread up to the top of the list, thus shoving other messages down, irespective of how new they are, rather than keeping messages in the order that the original posts are submitted.... If this were the case, messages would NOT disappear & slide off the page so quickly & thus give them a better chance of being read & replied to.If AVSIM were a quieter forum with not to many users, it wouldn't be a problem so much. However this forum is one of THE most popular out there... A fairer way to make sure ALL messages are seen properly needs to be in place... & what I've just described is the best way.ORBITER space sims forum works in this way, (this is the sims OWN forum NOT the one hosted here at AVSIM) keeping the posts in the order that they are submitted, & when a reply is posted it simply reports this & doesn't mess up the order.I hope you are looking into this.RegardsAlistair

Robert, I must be blind but I can't find a way to change the way the messages are displayed.

Owen, go into any forum and then look near the top of the topic list. You should see a blue section with headings in it. Click on one of those headings to change the sort order. If you have never selected any sort order on purpose or by accident, then the default is topics sort by last updated date ....Let me know if you still need any help.
