Pilot searching for VA

Since my former VA removed my from the roster because I wasn't able to fly for a month because of real life reasons I'm now searching for a new VA. Unfortunatly there are thousands of VAs and many of them aren't good or even active. I can't take a close look at all of them, so I'm asking for your help.First of all I'd like to fly online, but since I have never done this before it would be great if there would be someone within the VA offering some kind of training since I really fear to do everything wrong otherwise. As I mentioned before it sometimes happens that I'm not able to fly because real life goes first and sometimes I don't know about this before, so it would be fine if I could find a VA which is more tolerant and won't dump me immediately.Even though I prefer some aircraft and regions and would be glad to be able to fly out of KBOS, KLAX, KSFO, PANC, ... that's not the main criteria for choosing a VA, so even if you know an interesting VA I'd be glad if you could post a message or send me a mail to [email protected] safe

Hiya,Well, i know a range of good VA's. First of all, if you dont want to dedicate but still fly good aircraft and have a good online community spirit, visit MVA. We have aircraft such as Airbus A321's (nicknamed MonkeyBus) and smaller jets such as the Bombardier CRJ.However, if you are looking for a more realistic VA, visit Elation Airways at www.elationairways.co.uk . There are several other VA's such as Solent Airways; http://www.solentairvirtual.co.uk/ which is another very good VA.You could always visit Delaware Airlines which has a magnificent fleet; http://www.delawareairlines.com/ . And finally a airline I met throught this forum, Jal VA. Very good and extremely well painted a/c; http://www.cpavirtual.org/JAL/ .It all depends on what you want, good luck.

We can fill all of your requests, including the training. We have an instrument rated pilot and an ATP who have volunteered their services to our Training Academy. Our graduates have great things to say about the training they recieved, and the quality of their flight reports support this.Anyone who needs time off, needs only to notify their hub manager, and we will grant a LOA of up to six months. If you're gone for more than six months, you will be removed from the roster, but your records are retained, and if you ever decide to return, you can take over right where you left off.

First I'd like to thank all of you for your help, and also those who haven't posted yet but might do this within the next days.As far as I know Livewire doesn't use VATSIM and has his own System for online flying, also I'd prefer a VA which has assigned flights.Meridian is still one of my favorite VAs, although they also don't have assigned flights. Maybe that's the reason why I've already been a member twice. But I always wasn't able to fly very much for real world issues and was removed from the roster. If my memory doesn't fail me I wasn't able to do even a single flight when I joined the second time, so all I did was create unnessesary work for the dedicated people around this VA.

Actually Livewire does use VATSIM (LWA) and a few of our pilots are VATSIM controllers. Our personal ATC servers are used for training and special events like races where we give away prizes to the winners like FSNavigator and other such products.http://www.LivewireAirlines.com

I recommend Livewire, as well. They use turboprops and pistons, as well as heavies, so a new pilot can ease into flying with an airline without going straight to the big planes.Plus, you can waste all your earned fake money on gambling (maybe they'll come out with an America West version, so you can buy booze, too). ;)www.livewireairlines.com

This is your lucky day!!!!If you want the most realistic VA out there try Americast West Virtual Airlines. www.awva.netThis VA assigns flights to you by your seniority. Before you fly you receive a release just like the real pilots do and a lot more. So stop by www.awva.netI'm also a pilot there myself I just started last week and I love it try it out!

I'm an America West Virtual pilot and it's probably the most realistic VA out there. I tried livewire and I hated it to many planes. bla bla bla.:-grr

Sorry, pilot737. I didn't mean to offend you or anyone else. :(I don't hate AW because of a single incident (heck, by what you said about the AWVA, I might even join). It was a single incident with two morons that just seemed to generate a lot of controversy. As for the other part, well, I guess it depends on what and how you like to fly. :-)No hard feelings, right?

WOW!!! What aircraft did you choose to fly? Have you completed the checkride? I fly the Dreamfleet 737 for know and after I log in 100 hours or more I'll probably switch over to the airbus when WILCO comes out with the A320 PIC. Hope you enjoy the airline looking forward to seeing you on the pilot roster.Just a note: Most of the staff from AWVA is at the OSHKOSH fly in so you may not get a response until monday maybe. But good luck!!Pilot 737
