i cant wait! will it have better frames unlike POSKY's jets which are nice but suck because of framerates?

Posted

POSKY's are fine on frame rates.

Looking very good! Can't wait with the wingviews and opening doors... more moving parts than the POSKY model... Will LOT textures be available?

>more moving parts than the POSKY model... the posky model is made a while ago, at a time when opening doors, opening cargo doors and features like that are unheard of :)This 767 by IFDG looks promising :DCheers,

Especially the 767s. :-) I'm willing to bet that this model will have more polys, which I don't really care about, personally. It's a great looking model, period.

Unheard of? What do you mean? Features like those were around since FS2002 was released.John/AFG

I don't know how many polys the posky 767 has, but it is not only the polys which infects framerates. :-shy

Our 767 was made as our first ever gmax project. So we didnt have the knowlege we have now.Funny you love us..then when somthing else comes out those fans suddenly disappear :-roll

Disappear? That's a sweeping statement! They are just Intregued by a new project in my opinion. No matter how many new projects appear, your 767 is still of very high, and realstic quality!!:-samurai

i think it's funny you even call them fans? I suppose that's true though...I guess. Anyways, POSky's is still pretty good, I like it. But no biggie, so iFDG's has more "stuff" on it and it will probably be more popular. Like I said, POSky's is still good, so who cares, Gary. Just take it with a grain of salt 'n be glad ur group already has a great model.Local Air is Better Air- www.hawkair.ca

Somehow I don't think you're laughing at the moment gary (you did say funny, no??).....Why don't you use the "knowledge" you didn't have back then & USE IT NOW to create a newer version (maybe an mdl for instance ??) to regain all your fans back if that's all that really matters to you. It's quite amusing really.....POSKY claims (like most freeware flight designers) that NO PROJECT IS MEANT TO PLEASE PEOPLE....."IT'S ONLY A HOBBY" THEY SAY. This is the normal party line for abstaining from future release disclosure.POSKY take this whole thing to the point of BAD POLITICS & gary just proved it by his last post.... He moderates the POSKY forums like a police state, mention another group's efforts & watch the sparks fly :) Then watch your post disappear (like POSKY's fans, according to gary of course...)There might not be any money in this, but there is prestige, there is reputation & namesake. That alone is enough to stir bad politics, especially on the part of POSKY.Their aircraft are good (albeit outdated as gary admits) but that's where the buck STOPS. People need to take a good look at how this group operates (behind the scenes).....There mighty close to boycott material with respect to internal policies & moreover practices.....PBR streetgang...

completly not what I ment..but thanks for assuming.I think its a wonderful 767..in fact I have a few liveries I would like to paint on it.I was only commenting on people who love one group then bad mouth them in the same day. POSKY could care less if another group has a better plane..good on them I say. Go for it..everyone should always strive to be the best right?I need out? naw...I love it..and I plan to stay for a while ;)Celebrating 88,783 downloads!!!!http://www.projectopensky.com/banners/gary_banner.gif

In my honest opinion, he is one of the best aircraft painters out there today, and, like so many of us, offers his service without a bean cent in return. It's not just the model which makes a great aircraft, it's the FDE. In my honest opinion, POSKY do remarkably well with their flight dynamics with the resources and limitations we have in using a flight simulator.Forums, today, sadly, do need a "police" state type watch over them. Why? Because of the ####, whinging, wittering, and, hint, hint flaming that goes on nowadays. Tightening the noose on irritating people, kids especially, is the only way to productivity.Politics? What politics? There are no politics associated with Flight Simulator as a whole. Flight Simulator is a relaxing atmosphere that we can plug into if and when we want to get away from the real-world. Guess what, if works. We get away from the real-world and enjoy many hours per week immersed in a high-fidelity computer program. Call it The Matrix if you will, I call it kicking back and not having to worry about a thing.I'm sure it's not your place to comment on POSKY's internal policies and practices. Why? Because you a not a member of their group. Simple isn't it? Just because Project Opensky don't have the very latest cutting edge 767 on the market, doesn't mean that they are going to lose fans. Ever. One thing that, in my opinion, POSKY do remarkably well in is support for their fans. Many groups release a project and leave those who download it high and dry. POSKY's support is the best in the Flight Simulator virtual world, like it or not, that's simply the way it is.Searching the file library here, I see the library full of your files. So ... when you have the balls to sign your posts with your name like a man, contribute as much to this hobby as Gary has, feel free to come back and join in. Until then, you are the weakest link, goodbye.
