Hi, Is their a cheat or trick that allows you to cheat FS2002 IFR ATC? If you don't report you lose your flight plan, I don't want to be glued at the computer for 8 hours! Thanks

Yeah, when you get handed off, acknowledge the handoff, but then don't check in with the next controller. Your IFR plan won't be cancelled. The correct controller will be updated as you fly: e.g. (in the ATC window) 1. Contact XXX Center on xxx.x will change as you go.As you approach your destination (say, 150 miles out), just check in with whatever controller is showing in your ATC window. It'll continue along as if you've been passed along the whole time.Hope that's clear (?)Greghttp://www3.sympatico.ca/gregory.moffatt/ERJ.jpg

I too can confirm the above suggestion works. One addition: Make sure you contact whatever Center whose airspace you happen to be inside before you start your descent. Otherwise, Control will ask you/clear you back to your cruising altitude.Stamatis

Hello Stamatis,Also, when you check in after several hours, ATC will issueinstructions "turn left geading...turn right heading..." foryour intire trip, just let ATC finish, acknowledge and ignore.Fly safe,-Niels Christiansen

You can even tune in the frequency of the new centre after hand off! But never contact the new centre!Wolfgang
