September 24, 200223 yr Sometimes I'd like to be able to have plenty of computer aircraft around me but have no need to listen to or action ATC messages. Is that possible?Cliff
September 24, 200223 yr Yeah, don't contact the tower and just start up and go. Set your COM radio to an unused frequency.Have fun,Greghttp://www3.sympatico.ca/gregory.moffatt/ERJ.jpg
September 24, 200223 yr One way is just to change the radio frequency by one click to something else and you shouldn't get any more radio messages unless you happen to fly near a site with that frequency. There may be an option in the sound settings to turn the volume to zero on atc traffic and then just disable the automatic popup option for atc. Not sure if there is a specific volume control for atc (I am at work) but I seem to remember there is. ------------------------- Craig from KBUF
September 25, 200223 yr Thanks Craig. Easy when you know how, hmm? Here's a tip in return. If you're prepared to buy the two following files you'll have a lot of fun.1. First get the new, superb Marchetti from http://www.realairsimulations.com/home.html2. Then get Emma Field from www.lagoonline.comThe Marchetti is the first (in my experience) aircraft to be able to sideslip in a natural way. Try sideslipping into Emma Field which a fascinating bit of scenery. Both these are way above what we've seen before.Cliff
