September 30, 200223 yr It's not a major problem, and I can live with it... only, it's just a bit ANNOYING, know what I mean? When flying over any landscape, the autogen trees appear in the distance but if I look at them, they disappear again; they just keep on occasionally write then deleting themselvs, until I get closer when the problem ceases. Weird. For instance, when flying from Cork to Dublin, as soon as I get out of town it's noticeable.Any suggestions welcomedAll from me Georgethetee
September 30, 200223 yr er.... no views, no replies... ever get the feeling your not wanted?lolAll from me Georgethetee
September 30, 200223 yr The Autogen system has a 600 objects limit set in. When in town, these 600 are splitted between tress and buildings. Over landscape, there are mostly only trees. This might be why, when transitioning from city to landscape some trees are disapearing then reapearing.Hope this helps!
September 30, 200223 yr George,There seems to be a problem with the "Views" counter. It only updates when someone actually replies. So don't feel so lonely. :D
September 30, 200223 yr Author George, what do you mean by "when I look at them"?Do you change views.. change zoom.. change eyepoint.. turn off the panel..??Any of these actions can change the amount of info.. also, are your framerates below your "fps lock" when this happens? Bert

All I meant was, if I study the tiny trees in the distant, without changing views, I see them literally being rubbed out, then a few seconds later being redraw then the process begins again. FPS are steady around my setting of 20. The problem occurs without or 2D or virtual cockpit. I have tried everything I can think of in Display Settings (FS) but no luckAll from me Georgethetee
October 1, 200223 yr Author Hmm, I'm not sure I know what logic is used to determine how far out autogen objects are drawn.. I'll watch for this when I fly and let you know if I see something similar.. I've not noticed this before.. and hope that it does not start bothering me also! Bert
