October 3, 200223 yr Hi guys,I took a break from flight-simming last week and decided to re-discover my PlayStation 2 in preparation for the upcoming NHL2003... all FS fans are also hockey fans - most of them just don't know it yet! Anyway, during that time, I picked up a copy of Playstation magazine and was pleasantly surprised to find that they included an archive of every game that had ever been reviewed! After "neglecting" my PS2 for many months, I was able to catch up on the "best" titles available for that system by simply browsing through a few pages.I think Avsim should adopt a similar system.... Every title that Avsim reviews (along with its rating) should be presented from a link off the title page. If a user wants to know more about a particular product, they can click on it to receive the in-depth review. The products could also be categorized as Payware, Freeware, Shareware, etc. Since Bear is changing over to a weekly format, an archive of his preferred picks could also be included.I firmly believe that most flightsim users (those who don't check the front page or the forums every 2-3 days) are missing out on a bunch of quality add-on products. By presenting these products in a simple listing (along with the standardized review system already in place), more users will be inclined to buy or download them and enhance their simming experience. What do ya'll think?Regards,Marc
October 3, 200223 yr As an aside, before anyone tries to "blast" me :-), I'm well aware that there is already a Reviews section here on Avsim. My point is that (in its present format) it isn't very useful for the average viewer.M.D.
October 3, 200223 yr Author Sounds like a good idea. However, that's easy for me to say, I am not the 'techie' that would have to implement it ;-)But yes, I do like the idea very much..... :-outta Francois :-wave________________________Francois A.
