October 5, 200223 yr Fellow aviators,Since I added a new DSL connection to me setup, I'm experiencing what appears to be a skip in the smoothness of FS. While I'm connected, the scenery skips periodically every fraction of a second. It's minor, but noticeable. If I disconnect, the problem goes away. First time using DSL. I had a cablemodem connection before without any problems. Any ideas?Dave dv Win 10 Pro || i7-8700K || 32GB || ASUS Z370-P MB || NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti 11Gb || 2 960 PRO 1TB, 840 EVO My Files in the AVSIM Library

October 5, 200223 yr This thread slipped down the page quick...Hmm... It's going to take someone more knowlegeable then me to help. I was hoping you were using USB, in which case the obvious solution was to go to a network connection. I'm stumped otherwise.Derek
October 6, 200223 yr I had a problem last year with stutters. I was stumped and someone suggested that I go to device manager, NIC properties, advanced tab, and change Link Speed/Duplex Mode to either "10 Full Mode" or "100 Full Mode" I'm using WinXP Home. Although my problem ended up being mobo related, you can try this.
October 6, 200223 yr Check to see if you NIC is using the same IRQ as graphics or sound cards. If so try moving the NIC to a different slot in your computer. Bill Sieffert
October 6, 200223 yr Author Both my graphic and NI cards are using IRQ 16. Is there a way to change the IRQ in one of them without having to open the box?Dave dv Win 10 Pro || i7-8700K || 32GB || ASUS Z370-P MB || NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti 11Gb || 2 960 PRO 1TB, 840 EVO My Files in the AVSIM Library
October 7, 200223 yr Author Never mind. Did the switch, and the problem is still there. After the switch, the video, sound, and NI cards all have different IRQs.
