CH Rudder Pedals...Anyone else noticed this?

Featured Replies

I've had my CH Pro Pedals (gameport) for years now and have been quite pleased with them. However, I've recently noticed that full (a/c) rudder deflection is actually achieved at just over half full pedal deflection. This seems to me to be a waste - I'd like to be able to use the full range of travel to achieve full rudder deflection and thereby more precise rudder control.Has anyone else noticed this? Does this happen with the USB Pro Pedals or is it a gameport issue? Is there any thing I can do to "fix" the pedals?CheersRobbie

Robbie,This just means that they are not calibrated well.1. Go in the Windows controller setup, and do the calibration there.2. In FS2K2 (under Options-Controls-Sensitivities) set the Sensitivity slider for Rudder to Max, and the Null zone to Min.3. And if you want them calibrated really perfect: download and install FSUIPC, and calibrate them further, in the Joystcik section of FSUIPC.Rob

Robbie,I think that is governed more by the aircraft CFG or AIR file or even the MDL file then anything else. I have some aircraft that I need full deflection and some that don't. I have the same pedals as you and find that no two aircraft are the same unless they are using the same files and are just different textures. maxsdad
