What a/c is that!!

Featured Replies

It would be great if posters could say what a/c they are posting screenshots of -- many times I see a very attractive a/c but can't work out what it is.Thanks Barry

This has been discussed before, and I don't think it's that incredibly difficult to ask if you're curious and the poster didn't name the plane. Many poster do this already, and those that don't will happily answer what aircraft/scenery they're using if you ask.Daniel P.http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/ng_driver.jpgMember of SJU Photography. I'm with Barry on this one, Daniel; yes, it has been discussed before, but still people have to ask.In my view, there's not a lot of point simply posting shots so that people can go "Oooohhh! Aaaahhhh!" or, as is more common "Cool, dude", "Awesome shots", "Cool shots" or "Awesome, Dude" :) The whole point of posting, surely, is to share images of new aircraft, scenery combinations, FS effects or environments that work well, and so on. Then, if things are properly captioned, we ALL learn from such pictures.Or is this forum more selfish in nature than I had assumed? :-wink2 Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumont[a href=http://www.swiremariners.com/cathayhk.html" target="_blank]http://www.paxship.com/maamlogo2.jpg[/a]

Selfish? NO... :-lol Come on, Mark. This forum has become a sausage-fest of people posting shots of the cool stuff they have that others don't, and it's the same folks over and over. Posting in this forum nowadays does tend to be selfish. The same folks replying to each other's threads, many times without looking at them, as indicated by generic one-liners such as the ones you posted... I'd say it's as selfish as it gets!Again, I don't see the big difficulty on making a post saying "Nice shots, what aircraft/panel/scenery/texture is that?". Or maybe people are trying to get away with not even having to reply to posts at all? It's really not hard to procure the information if one is interested. Besides, saying it's selfish not to include that information implies the poster isn't willing to provide it at all, which is often not the case (although for certain posters it's not convenient to state this since they acquire things nobody else can get, and that's where the excitement of posting at all comes: Knowing you're showing off something nobody can have because either it's not your work or it's not as good as it looks). Again, I encourage the poster to ask, I am sure he'll find the better part of the posters are willing to share the name of the add-ons and where to get them.Daniel P.http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/ng_driver.jpgMember of SJU Photography.
