Twin Otter? - Payware quality, but freeware...

Recommended Posts

Tailboom at flightsimnetwork first brought my attention to this 'Otter... I downloaded it last night, and although it is a FSDS model, it has a lot going for it. I don't have the Lago model, having never been much of an Otter fan, but this model has found a home in my aircraft library:http://caea.free.fr/en/simu/dhc6.html-JohnP.S.--I should note, in addition to the virtual cabin and cockpit, this model has virtual wings & engines too, and has great potential for simulating the pax view...

Yep - ya gotta get that one. I have nothing against Lago, but if you're in the business of making payware add-ons, ya better make better stuff than we can get for free! My guess is the Lago Twotter isn't much better than the FINE example of freeware by Eric Dantes. In fact (based on what I've read), seems there are areas where it's not nearly as good.DaveHere's the link again;http://caea.free.fr/en/simu/dhc6.html

I've been flying Eric's baby for a couple of weeks now, and it is just drop dead gorgeous. Look also for the Scilly Skybus repaint of this aircraft in the Avsim library. Steve Mullen has done a great job, and those of us who like the weather in Cornwall are having great fun ...http://www.swiremariners.com/ukscilly.jpgMark "Dark Moment" Beaumont(to those of you who've seen this screenie before in previous threads .. sorry to be boring, but I'm travelling at present; no chance to make a fresh one!)http://www.swiremariners.com/cxkaitak.htmlhttp://www.swiremariners.com/reds.htmlhttp://www.swiremariners.com/cxkaitakv3.jpg

I agree with all the posts here... what we need now is for some repaints of this baby! Maybe we can pester Eric into doing an Amphibian version too! :-)
