Inherited a computer with windows 2000. Has a hard drive with total capacity of 40gb. When I go into disk management under administrative tools 4gb have been allocated to system and the rest shows as unallocated. How do I allocate everything to the system? In other words, I do not want any partitions when I am done. Thanks for any help.

Okay, right click on My Computer and select Manage. This will open some tools, click on disk management, it will load the info, you should see:Disk 0Basicetc etc.You should see the 4GB and the rest would be green? (I think..) you have a number of options there. You can allocate all the space to the one large partition.I hope this makes sense. If not, take a screenshot of the area selected with the options, it'll refresh my memory and I'd probably be able to guide you from there :)

Cheers,
