July 23, 200223 yr Inherited a computer with windows 2000. Has a hard drive with total capacity of 40gb. When I go into disk management under administrative tools 4gb have been allocated to system and the rest shows as unallocated. How do I allocate everything to the system? In other words, I do not want any partitions when I am done. Thanks for any help.
July 23, 200223 yr Okay, right click on My Computer and select Manage. This will open some tools, click on disk management, it will load the info, you should see:Disk 0Basicetc etc.You should see the 4GB and the rest would be green? (I think..) you have a number of options there. You can allocate all the space to the one large partition.I hope this makes sense. If not, take a screenshot of the area selected with the options, it'll refresh my memory and I'd probably be able to guide you from there :) Cheers,John TavendaleTextures by Tavers - https://www.facebook.com/texturesbytavers
