Since I haven't installed the Weather Maker, I don't know what files it wants to update. You say you are using IE5.0 and have been updating from Microsoft's website. Have you tried installing IE6.0 SP1 to see if it corrects your problem. Another thing you can do is try to repair your IE in the Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs, select IE, OK, then select the repair mode or the full reinstall.

Sorry, out of guess on your problem! The only other thing I could suggest would be trying to replace the files the Weather Program installed. They may have installed the incorrect version to your system. You could also go to Windows Explorer, Tools, Folder Options, File Types, select JPG, and see what it says is suppose to open the file.

I asked the same question in the general forum. Mike posted a fix that worked for me.Quote:"Same here. After installing Explorer hans the same...but, I have the solution for it Download this utility from MS.http://download.microsoft.com/download/msn...US/mcrepair.EXEIt fixes your problem. It looks like the program started a chain reaction on my PC. It has messed up IE, i am getting Ileegal Operations Eroor the whole time and my Norton Anti-virus seems to have been 'killed' after the install of the program. I am not saying that the author did this on purpose, maybe it's a coincidece or just a rare case where everything suddenly goes nuts on the PC. I am forced to format my HDD now because too many thing have been messed up. Oh well...time to get started on formating..i hope to be back here later tonight Take careMike"- Kenny B

ah...I saw your post in the MSFS forum and I was just about to post that link here. Glad you found it.Take careMike
