I'm wanting to add more RAM, but I'm not sure what I'm doing. I've just had a look inside my system to see what type of RAM it takes, but the chips didn't have anything on them apart from Samsung. There were 4 slots - 2 with the 128Mbs sticks, but the other 2 had smaller sticks in (same length, but not as high). What are these? are these something I can remove to add more RAM sticks?Cheers

Alaister,Your'e better off finding out who makes your model of motherboard, visiting their page for specifications. Considering that most RAM sticks are unidentifyable, finding the make/model of systemboard is your true quest. :-)Height of the RAM makes no difference, unless you have a requirement for shorter RAM for clearance reasons (ie. a 1U server). Hope this helps, Tom

Alaister: If your computer is factory (rather than home) built and you know the manufacturer and model number, go to www.crucial.com site. It's nicely configured so that you can key in your info and through a series of clicks you'll ultimately find the ram options that will work for your rig.I have not been at that site for a while but I believe that you can also accomplish the same by furnishing your mobo info as Tom mentioned above.-GeorgeM at 5B6
