The DVD Quality with the 9700 Pro card is as you said, simply awesome. I watched band of brothers on my Sony 21" monitor with my system. Alienware PIV 2.53, 512mb PC1066 ram, and ATI 9700 Pro and was blown away. Just like being there looking through a crystal clear window. You can see everything. Especially the blood and gore which wasn't that noticeable on the TV. I know what you mean about feeling like the bullets were whizzing right past and I just have an Altec Lansing 4.1 sound system with an audigyI card. FS2002 works great all maxed out. Same with all my other games. Never run anything anymore below 1600x1200x32 at 4xAA & 16xAF.

Never really figured out why Dell get's a bad rap...I use re-furbished Dells and get stunning performances, My P4 3.0 is maxed on all sliders, Ultimate Traffic, wxRE, FDS, Simflyers and I get above 11 FPS at ORD in a 5 computer rigged Airbus. 4 of my 5 boxes are Dell (Project Magenta) and have been performing flawlessly...needless to say, the ATI 9700 is the visual workhorse and appears to be holding up...a bit niosy if played alone but with APU's, Brake Fans, Flight Announcemnts going etc. it does not make a differnce... I like Dell's...they are predictable.

>Now, it moans quite loadly when it first boots upHeh! Don't we all first thing in the morning...... :)Cheers,Paulhttp://www.strontiumdog.plus.com/sbird.jpgOfficially licenced by British Airways plc for use of name and logo

hehehe; I guess we do. Especially at my age. My wife informed me last night that everytime I rolled over, I went ouch, ouch, ouch in my sleep. I worked in the garage yesterday and paid for it last night. Anyway, I got my new PS from Dell. $34.95 plus shipping. Not bad. Too many wires on it for my talents though. Guess I'll be taking the Ole Dell to the shop for the change out. Been leaving it run 24/7 and it doesn't moan quite as bad or often that way. On another note, Dell makes a great machine. I got two of em'. The only folks that complain about em' are the do-it-yourselfers' who complain about anything that comes to the door assembled.

>Never really figured out why Dell get's a bad rap...Why bad ? If I can get the same perf. for less money and have totally customizable system I will go for it even though some will insist I should pay more :-eekMichael J.
