May 5, 200323 yr I really like the new Nvidia 43.45 drivers, but I just noticed that I can no longer force AA in some of my games.. neither CFS2 nor WWII Fighters..In FS2002 all is well.. I select 2xAA in the driver properties and it appears in the sim. Great visual quality and best performance ever.I have tried both the Omega version (best performance on my P4 system) and the version off the Nvidia website.. same issue.. FSAA does not work in CFS2.. Has anyone managed to get this to work.. and what did you do?GF4 4200-128 card. Bert
May 7, 200323 yr ALthough I don't have WWII F loaded you might want to try the new 43.51 drivers as there are reports that some of the AA issues have been fixed.
May 7, 200323 yr Author Thanks, will try! Although I would hate to give up the Omega tweaks.. but I guess they'll update their drivers also.. Bert
May 8, 200323 yr Author Hmmm... I'm now on the 43.51 drivers.. they work great, but still no FSAA in my older games (CFS2, WWII, EAW). Anti-aliasing works fine in FS2002, Fly2!, and IL-2. Not a big problem, since I mostly fly my newer sims, but still puzzling.. Bert
May 8, 200323 yr Yea sorry for the bum steer. I am seeing conflicting reports on anti-Aliasing as well now - some users saying it's fixed, but apparently only on certain games. I am using 30.82s for now on DirectX 8.1 although I miss the Aniso Filtering on FS2002 that 43.51 offers. Aparently AA support for certain DX7 games may have been not working for quite a while (since after 41.09s I believe someone said).
May 9, 200323 yr Author That has been my experience also.. the 30.82 drivers are still the best and most stable drivers. However, the graphics quality of the 43.xx is simply better and the performance as well.. so I guess I cannot have it all and have decided (for now) that the 43.51s are the ones that stay on my system. Thanks for your feedback! It really helps me to know that I am not alone on this journey! Bert
