I installed a new Nividia GeForce 4 Ti4200 video card last week, and all seems to be running well. But, this morning, when I ran scandisk in DOS mode, the screen took on a broken look, as if scan lines were appearing only every other time. In other words, the blue background for scandisk broke down into alternating bands of blue and black, which made the letters illegible. But, the scan seemed to work ok and the computer performs fine in windows 98SE. I'm just a bit curious about the DOS problem. Is there one, or should I just chalk it up to my new vid card? Sherm,Was this a repeatable event. Did you try doing the scan in DOS mode again from a cold boot of your computer?
