Upgrade - This better run Fs2004

Featured Replies

Just droped of the computer to my local tech. Upgradeing from a 2yr old Aleinware 51 P4 2.2. Putting in a new MB with a P4 3.06 800mhz FSB and a gig of PC-3200 ram. That with the new ATI 9800 256 card I just put in better run FS2004 smooth or I give up ;)

Holy smokes! If that won't run FS2k4 then there is no hope for computers anywhere! :)

Can I have your old cruddy 2.2GHz MOBO, I only have a poor 1.8GHz AMD!!!W. Sieffert:-lol

Bill Sieffert

Won't work! You're going to get poor framerates because the video signal has to find it's way through all that memory on the 9800. It would be much faster with less video RAM. And that's way too much system RAM also. Same problem, stuff's going to get lost in there.Doug

Intel 10700K @ 5.1Ghz, Asus Hero Maximus motherboard, Noctua NH-U12A cooler, Corsair Vengeance Pro 32GB 3200 MHz RAM, RTX 2060 Super GPU, Cooler Master HAF 932 Tower, Thermaltake 1000W Toughpower PSU, Windows 10 Professional 64-Bit, 100TB of disk storage. Klaatu barada nickto.

Doug,Please, please, please tell me this is a joke.:)Bobby

UH, yea Doug, Ok :)Brad

LOL. I wouldn't mind having it either :-lol. I'm still running on a old 1.2GHz AMD T-bird with 256MB PC133 RAM :-lol.
