Need Some Help Please!!! Issues with textures disappering!

Featured Replies

Need Some help here folks and wonder if anyone can shed some light on this for me:While flying around in FS2004, I notice that after awhile textures start to disappear from my aircraft and then some of the AI aircraft as well, does anyone know what might cause this? Here is my setup:P4 2.6 533Mhz FSB1.5 Gig PC2700 Ram2 80gig WD Hard drivesHave tried using both a GE Force 4 MX440 128 and a Nvidia FX5200 with 128, also have tried several differant drivers as far as video goes, but nothing seems to make a difference, am I missing something, and what is even funnier, it doesnt happen in FS2002.Any ideas would be great. Thanks for the time.

Ensure you have the latest drivers for your MOBO controller chips, i.e., Intel, VIA, SiS, AMD, ALi. Since you are using P4, probably Intel - www.intel.com .Ensure you are using directx9.0b - press start, run..., type dxdiag, OK. Let it stabilize, then review the version on the general tab page. Select the other tabs and run the tests.Ensure you are using the 45.23 or higher drivers for your 5200 card. You might deselect Anti Aliasing from within flightsim, settings, display, hardware page.W. Okay, checked all of my settings, check DXDIAG, everything is up to date and tested, all updates to the motherboard, processor and video card have been done, DirectX 9.0b is installed, Anti-Aliasing is turned off.It works great in FS 2002, but here is the thing which is odd, I installed the PSS A330 and A340 into FS2004, no problems with the install, but the minute I go to select either one of these planes, it shows no textures at all, even the base textures, nothing, so i decided to try it in FS2002,guess what, no problems seeing any of the textures on the planes and everything works like a charm, any ideas after this would be great, as I am now out of ideas. Also, selecting any other plane is FS2004 is not a problem, the textures are there, wonder if this has something to do with these specific planes. Thanks again.

Hi.>wonder if this has something to do with these specific planes. Not likely. I have a 172RG that I created all GMax, and it has a similar problem in FS9. It's just another "feature" that we have to live with. You can do a search for "avcomware" in the Aircrafr design, and get some more details. The pics may be gone, if interested I will post them again. TV
