Flickering

Featured Replies

Guys,I have an ATI 9800 card. When I start up FS2004 the image is beautiful, very stable and almost without flickering. However, when I switch to my desktop and then return to FS2004 the image quality is much less and msot of all there is a lot of flickering.Any suggestions? Thanks for your help!Marco Bruno

This is just a guess but what refresh rate are you running at. Sometimes setting it too low causes flickering because the screen isn't drawing the image fast enough. It should be set at 75hz at least for a CRT monitor. Try that and see what happens.

Hey,I have the same problem with a GeForce 5700, I have tried to increase the hertz to 75 but it still makes no differenceIts looks like a white box flickering all the time but it make no noticalbe affect to the fps...please can som one help?regardsAirtours

I have the same problem. It's a white flickering frame around the outside of the 2D panel.Sometimes switching views clears it up temporarily.Anyone else having this?I have a GeForce 6800 GT and 19" LCD @ 75hz.

I have noticed that this is from either the AA or AF. If I run at 2xAA 4xAF I get the same thing. If I run with 0xAA and 0xAF I don't get it. I have seen some in the forums say that if you use 8sxAA and 8xAF it does not happen. I just stumbled accross this today so I am going to give it a shot tonight.

I tried it out last night it apears to be the AA setting. As long as I had it set to 8s I could set my AF to whatever I wanted and still have no problems with FsNav or the flickering. Just play around with the AA settings and see what works best for you.
