How does an SLI 6800 Ultras do in FS2004 at 1600x1200 4x AA 8x AF?

Featured Replies

I didn't get any performance increase when I upgraded my P4 3GHz to a FX-55 at 1600x1200 4x AA 8x AF and overcast clouds. It seems like my video card is the bottleneck in this situation as I overclocked my 6800 Ultra from 425 to 445 core and 1100 to 1150 mem and went from 16 fps to 17 fps but prefer to keep it at stock for stability. I might consider upgrading 2 6800 Ultras in the future and a DFI NForce Ultra 4 motherboard or just upgrade to an ATI x850 XT PE AGP if that will give me much better performance. Anyone where upgrade to SLI and get a huge performance increase at 1600x1200 with 4x AA and 8x AF. I have a 20 inch LCD so I still get very noticable jagginess at 1600x1200 without AA.

SLI has no affect at all on FS. In a way you wasted your money if you just play FS9.

Hi,Like Kurt says; SLI is not supported by FS due to the way it renders textures and stuff. (Don't ask me for the specifics because I read it somewhere)A short while ago I bought a new system and also considered SLI. luckily I didn't proceed and bought an X850XT instead.

You can create SLI profiles yourself if a game is not natively supported by the drivers. Not sure if/how FS2004 would benefit but there may be some improvement.
