Folks,As you can see from my sig my system is slowly getting out of time.I am considering upgrading processor and the video card.I would like to stick to AMD and ATI, so my options would be clear.The money is not an issue, yet I am not willing to overpay for a component just because it's new.I am thinking about ATI Radeon X800Pro and perhaps AMD Athlon 64 3800. The only problem I see is my motherboard which supports socket A (socket 462), whereas new 64 processors require different socket.Will be grateful for your recommendations,Dom

Hi,I built my new system about 2 months ago and opted for the new ASUS A8N De luxe. This MOBO has a socket 939 and more importantly the new nForce4 chipset.I'm happy with it.http://www.asus.com/products4.aspx?modelme...=3&l2=15&l3=148My Specs:AMD Athlon64 35004 x 512MB Corsair XMS CAS2 MemoryRadeon X850XT PCIE2 x Seagate 160MB SATA (Raid 1)SB Audigy 2....For the 2GB memory I paid 480 euro's, the most expensive of all ;)However now I wonder if it really was necessary to equip a system with that kind of (expensive) memory.EDIT:If you are going to buy a new MOBO, make sure you go for PCI-Express instead of AGP
